Bringing Joy & Food
to the Philippines
The most beautiful thing about people in the Philippines is their joy! Even in the slums of urban Manila or the dumps of rural Mindanao, in the aftermath of typhoons or in the midst of a pandemic, their faith keeps them focused on the goodness and mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Feed The Hungry has a strong presence in this island nation, working alongside the COP Daily Manna Foundation. Their volunteers work tirelessly to bring donated food to the poorest citizens, especially the children. Every day, the feeding sites are visited by long lines of hungry people who come as early as 4:30 in the morning. For many, this is their only source of food. In these days of COVID-19, the feeding sites are maintaining social distancing and taking other safety and health precautions. We hear reports that everyone waits patiently as they know there will be enough to go around, thanks to you. See how your support cares for families in need!
“You can see the smile in this boy’s eyes as he gets food for his family!”
“You gave this girl’s family their daily bread. Thanks to you, there is enough for everyone!”
